At the core of our approach is a two-phase process designed to give you both clarity and control throughout your project:
Phase 1: Design + Estimation
This is where we begin. We work hand-in-hand with you to understand your goals, develop conceptual designs, generate plans, and provide detailed cost estimates. Design and estimation services are offered on either a flat-rate or hourly basis, as outlined in your tailored service agreement.
Phase 2: Project Management + Contracting (Optional)
Once your design + estimate is finalized, you have the option to engage us for project management and contracting support. In this consultant-based role, we help coordinate subcontractors, manage timelines, and ensure quality—while you retain direct financial relationships with all vendors and trades. This model ensures full transparency, keeps you in control, and still benefits from professional oversight.

Owner
Preston Henderson-Rubsamen
Preston’s journey in the construction industry began with his first landscaping business as a young boy. He established his career with a formal education as an interior designer, studying at Art Institute a school of Miami International University of Arts and Design. During his studies, Preston also had the opportunity to travel to Europe, and Australia, expanding his design perspective and gaining international insight. This foundation gave him a deep understanding of design, project development, material selection. While working for a leading parks and recreation distributor he gained further knowledge in general constructions, pre-engineered structures, hardscapes, landscape products and materials.
With over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Preston has honed expertise in management, project management, estimating, and plan/contract development. His hands-on experience on job sites, combined with his background in design and estimating, enables him to deliver practical and innovative solutions that ensure both aesthetic quality and construction efficiency.
At Hoodoo Preconstruction Services, Preston is responsible for overseeing operations, accounting, and managing both the technical and creative aspects of each project. He expertly balances design with logistical execution, ensuring every project meets the highest standards and surpasses client expectations.

Lindsey Henderson-Rubsamen
Lindsey was born and raised in Plano, TX, and earned her degree from the University of Alabama. With a background as a professional performer and Director of Dance, she brings a creative and disciplined approach to everything she does. Lindsey has also built a strong foundation in office administration, customer service, and problem resolution, giving her a well-rounded skill set that contributes to the success of every project.
Lindsey’s diverse experience spans both interior and landscape design, where she excels in managing all phases of a project, from initial concept to final execution. Her keen attention to detail and organizational abilities ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. In addition to her design expertise, Lindsey plays a key role in office management, helping streamline day-to-day operations and ensuring the team stays focused on bringing clients' visions to life.
Her unique combination of creativity, leadership, and administrative skills makes her an invaluable asset to Hoodoo Preconstruction Services.
